RTKn: Real-time kinematic
to the power of network
To ensure centimeter-level accuracy, Kress's expanding
proprietary network of reference GNSS receivers
continuously delivers RTK correction data to each mower
via the cellular network.
How it works
The global navigation satellite system (GNSS)
provides geo-spatial positioning with 2 to 5
meters accuracy, then real-time kinematic
correction is applied to achieve centimeterlevel accuracy.
What if there's poor
satellite signal?
Should buildings or trees block satellite signals,
inertial navigation and odometry will take over to
precisely route the mower until it reaches an opensky area and satellite navigation is restored.
How to map the
cutting zone
1.
Place RTK tower
on mapping cart
Twist to remove the tower and place
it on the mapping cart.
2.
Walk the
perimeter
Once the tower is placed on the
mapping cart, walk the perimeter
to capture the cutting zone. No
boundary or guide wires needed!
3.
Place the RTK
tower back on
the mower
Remove the tower and place it
back on the robotic mower to
activate the virtual boundary wire
and forbidden zone.
